Bugatti's Next Car Will Be a Hybrid
Bugatti was already close to replacing the Veyron with a hybrid model; however, they choose to go with the impressive Chiron instead. But the time for a hybrid Bugatti has come, and it will be their next model. Bugatti CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer has stated that Bugatti has not begun work on the successor to the Chiron yet, but he is confident that it will be a hybrid. Environmental regulations and motor trends have put pressure on supercar manufacturers to turn towards the hybrid route. This should not come as a shock to those who follow the car industry, as Volkswagon, Bugatti's parent company, has been making large investments into the electrification of their vehicles. There are still many questions surrounding the next Bugatti, but now we at least know that it will be some form of a hybrid vehicle and not a fully electric car.
